The European company Haier, due to the technological event IFA 2014 that took place in the city of Berlin (Germany), presented a new set of smartphones for all types of users. The first of these is the HaierPhone W970, a phablet- type mobile whose screen size (set at six inches) means that we are talking about a terminal that is halfway between a smartphone and a tablet. The HaierPhone W970 will be available in Spain during the month of October for a starting price established in the250 euros. Let's know all its characteristics.
The HaierPhone W970 is presented with a screen IPS OGS of six inches to reach a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. Although Haier has not released its full measurements, we have been able to know that the thickness of this smartphone is set at 7.7 millimeters, which is a very thin width that should allow the mobile to be handled comfortably even with one hand.
If we look at the inside of the HaierPhone W970 first with what we found is a processor Mediatek (not specified exact model) of four cores running at a clock speed of 1.3 GHz with a memory RAM of 1 gigabyte. The internal storage capacity is set at 16 GigaBytes, although once the mobile is turned on for the first time this storage space translates into a real capacity of around 12 GigaBytes. The operating system installed as standard corresponds to Android in its version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which means that it is one of the most recent versions of this operating system and this detail is what guarantees us absolute compatibility with all the applications available in the Google Play store. The battery capacity is set at 1,600 mAh, which translates into a real autonomy of less than a day of use.
The main camera built into the back of the HaierPhone W970 comes with a sensor 13 megapixel accompanied by a LED flash to improve lighting in photographs taken at night. The front camera, meanwhile, incorporates a VGA type sensor designed to offer a very simple quality that is mainly oriented towards video calls. All these specifications are complemented by the usual connectivity of WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and micro USB 2.0 that we usually find in smartphones on the market. As an additional specification, it is also worth mentioning thedouble-microphone that incorporates the HaierPhone W970, which allows to reduce the background noise that occurs when we hold a call in a public place.
