If there is something that many users missed in the latest Huawei flagships it was the ability to record 4K video at 60 fps. Unfortunately, the Kirin 970 and Kirin 980 processors do not support this possibility. The manufacturer explained at the time that it did not see sense to integrate this recording mode, since it is more the extra space that is needed to store the videos than the increase in quality.
However, this will change soon with its next Kirin 990 SoC. The company has confirmed that it will be compatible with 4K video recording at 60 fps, so the quality will be much better when making our creations. This processor will debut in the new Huawei Mate 30, a terminal that could be announced on September 19 in Europe, according to the latest rumors. This chip will also be present in the Huawei Mate X and in the Huawei P40 series next year.
The Huawei Mate 30 would land hand in hand with a Pro version and a Lite version, which could be governed by the company's Harmony OS system. From what is known according to rumors, in addition to including the Kirin 990 to compete with Samsung's Exynos 9825 and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855+, the Mate 30 could have a 6.5-inch panel and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels.. The team would have four main cameras (24 + 16 + 8 + 5 megapixels), as well as a 24 megapixel front camera for selfies.
Other rumored features include 128GB storage with NM Card expansion or a 4,300mAh battery. Of course, the Mate 30 would be governed by Android 9. As we say, everything indicates that only the Lite model would house the company's own operating system. If the rumors are true, it would only take a month to meet the new members of the Mate family. We will be very pending to give you new data with all the information.
