4th of October. That is the date that Google has supposedly chosen for the presentation of its new terminals. And they won't be Nexus, without the Pixel and Pixel XL. This is what they will be called. And it seems, the intentions of signing Mountain View pass by clinched the line to Nexus and open a new path with PĂxel. So far, the two phones had the code name of Marlin and Sailfish, but by now their true commercial name would have been released. Along with this data, some characteristics have also been filtered, such as that thePixel will have a 5-inch screen and that will be the cheaper of the two. For its part, the Pixel XL will have a 5.5-inch screen and will be superior in quality. Both would have, yes, with a FullHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. A new rumor also suggests that both devices could be the first to be manufactured by Google itself . However, all the data we have on the table about this pair of equipment points to the Taiwanese firm HTC.
But these are not the only information that has been leaked so far. It seems, for example, that both phones will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with quad-core architecture and that they will enjoy 4 GB of RAM. For both models, the main cameras would have a 12 megapixel sensor on the back and an 8 megapixel sensor on the front, which would allow us to obtain high quality selfies. The internal storage capacity would reach 32 GB. This, in addition, should be able to be expanded with external microSD cards, but we do not have any official confirmation yet. The only significant differences that we could mention between the two would have to do directly with the screen, which as we have already indicated would be 5 and 5.5 megapixels, and with the battery. The Pixel XL may have more capacity than the other, but for now, no data has emerged. On the other hand, many innovations in the field of software are expected, which would have been developed on the pure version of Android. Hence, instead of Nexus, Google has decided to call its devices by another name.
Just a few days ago, the characteristics of the Nexus Launcher were also filtered, which sported an interface with colors and buttons distributed in a very different way than what we are used to in Android 7.0 Nougat. It seems, in this sense, that Google would be trying to give a different touch to its phones to differentiate them from the rest of the equipment that also works with Android (and that by the way, they are not few).
On the other hand, there is talk of a battery that could have a capacity of 3,000 and 3,450 milliamps and a Type-C USB, integrated in both models. This would allow users to transfer data in a faster and more secure way. Most likely, both devices can be released in different color versions. For now we can talk about black, silver and gold. We will know all these details from October 4. And how would you like the next Google phone to be ?
