On June 5, Google began to release beta 4 of Android Q, although it did not last long. The company has stopped the deployment after many users had problems with the installation. In any case, if you are one of the lucky ones who have been able to install it without errors, congratulations, you will be able to continue testing it as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, Google has apologized for what happened, and has communicated that it will contact users again once the problem is resolved.
It is not very clear what happened, but when installing the beta 4 of Android Q some users of compatible devices have had serious problems, to the point that it has been impossible to carry out the update. Logically, this stoppage could delay the update schedule that was planned to date. Everything was going smoothly, and the test versions were being released as planned. We do not know, therefore, what will happen from now on.
The beta five was expected for the third quarter of the year, possibly for the month of July. After this, a beta 6 was scheduled, also for the third quarter, which was going to give way to the expected final version for mid-late summer (August, early September). Google may not take long to fix the problem and will start rolling out Android Q beta 4 again in a few days. That way, everything would go back to plan. We don't know how things will go and if it will eventually delay the rest of the updates.
