Google nexus one, now available with vodafone and with free navigation under google street view
The news of the day continues to be the addition of the Google Nexus One to the Vodafone catalog. The phone that HTC designed for Google arrives in Spain from May 20 and can be purchased in stores or online, both through new registration and hiring a portability to the red operator. Those who are already Vodafone customers, for their part, can get this legendary phone through the Vodafone points program.
At tuexperto.com you can find all the information regarding the rates that Vodafone has applied to the Nexus One, while at tusequipos.com we will briefly review the differences between the terminal and its twin brother, the HTC desire, which is also marketed by Vodafone. Now, at tuexpertomovil.com, we will explain how, in a few weeks, the Google Nexus One will have free voice-guided GPS navigation through Google Street View.
One of the less airy points of the Nexus One but that is much more important than it seems at first is navigation. The Nexus One, of course, has assisted GPS with which to easily search for directions or mark itineraries. However, Android did not have a free navigation service. As with most telephones, this service must be contracted with one of the many navigator and map companies that offer it. Until now, only Nokia had integrated free GPS navigation into its compatible terminals thanks to its Nokia Maps software.
Well, Nokia no longer has that exclusive. The Google Nexus One offered by Vodafone has a similar service that works through Google Street View. The Nexus One is, in fact, the first terminal to arrive in Spain with this function that is already common in the United States and that until now only the United Kingdom enjoyed in the old continent.
Navigation is also combined with multiple Google search services, which allows us to perform tricks such as telling the phone the name of a theater, out loud, and for the Nexus One to locate it on a map, tell us how to get there and give us the option of calling the venue or buying tickets for some of their shows online. At the moment, all these features are only supported in the English language, but the corresponding free update to the Cervantes language will arrive on June 7. Given the power of voice search or simultaneous translation services, Google opens the door to a whole new market with this addition to the Nexus One.
