Summer is coming, and with it, a season to warm up to ice cream. However, the one that most interests smartphone fans will arrive in winter (and hey, it is also good to give yourself an ice cream tribute at that time). It's called Ice Cream Sandwich and you can't eat it, since we are talking about the operating system that will continue to Gingerbread in the list of Android updates and that we will see for the first time in the next Google Nexus.
The presence of the aforementioned platform is one of the attractions of the next Nexus in the series, but not the only one. And thanks to the guys at Boy Genius Report we have been able to learn about some of the other characteristics of what would become the third generation of Google's bedside phone and flagship of this operating system.
At the moment, there are few specifications that they talk about in BGR to refer to what they have named Google Nexus 4G, and that we could call Google Nexus 3 so as not to lose the thread. To begin with, as we have said, it would carry the fourth generation of Google's platform, Ice Cream, but it will not be the only thing that would attract our attention. The screen, with a size that has not been specified, would have a resolution compatible with 720p high definition images, as well as a five megapixel camera (little, right?) That would shoot videos in 1080p.
In the processor field, in BGR you don't need between two options. In both cases they talk about a dual-core chip, but they can't quite figure out whether it would run at 1.2 or 1.5 GHz, as well as whether it would come from Qualcomm technology or be based on OMAP architecture. What they do not doubt is the fact that you install a GB of RAM.
