The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra have not arrived alone. The South Korean company has also announced a new mobile. Specifically, a folding mobile. It is the second version of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Samsung's high-end flexible display terminal. This mobile, which is called Galaxy Z Fold 2, joins the Galaxy Z range and comes with a renewed design, but retaining the format of the first generation. The folding screen and the one in the front area are also improved, as well as the inclusion of 5G networks. Do you want to know all the details of the Galaxy Z Fold 2? Keep reading.
The concept of this folding mobile is preserved, unlike the Galaxy Z Flip, the new Z Fold 2 has a 'book-like' shape. In other words, the terminal is folded in half and opens sideways like a book. When opened we can access the flexible 7.6-inch panel, which has a Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 HZ. With this large screen we can use the device as if it were a tablet: watch series and movies, play games, use maps, etc. In addition, Samsung has removed the pronounced notch from the first generation and added a camera directly on the screen. It's on the right side and has 10 megapixels.
An improved flexible screen
Although Samsung maintains the folding screen format, the panel has been improved. In the first generation the screen was completely a flexible plastic OLED. In this case, it has been worked with an ultra-thin glass, which is also flexible, so that the sensation when viewing and navigating with the folding screen is much more premium.
Besides this, Samsung has also improved the center hinge. This is hidden when the terminal is open. It also has a system that allows you to place the screen in different positions. In this way, we can bend it slightly to rest the mobile on a flat surface and watch a movie or make a video call.
With the foldable screen extended, the terminal can be somewhat uncomfortable to use at times. That is why the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a screen on one of the sides, so that, when the mobile is closed, we can continue to use it as a normal device. The screen, which also has Super AMOLED technology and a FullHD + resolution, is 6.2 inches. It grows sharply compared to the previous generation and now occupies practically the entire front. This screen also has a 10 megapixel resolution camera to take selfies.

Up to 5 cameras
The cameras get better too. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a triple main lens, and the configuration is very similar to what we see on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. The main sensor has a resolution of 64 megapixels. It also has a second 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The third and final sensor, with a 12 megapixel resolution, is a telephoto lens. This camera allows you to take photos with zoom.
In addition to the triple main camera, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has two front cameras. One is inside the folding screen, with a resolution of 10 megapixels. The other camera for selfies is on the second screen and it also maintains the 10 megapixel resolution.
New processor and lots of RAM
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold also trains a processor. It has the same chipset as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. It is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, with eight cores and with a 7-nanometer architecture. In this case, it is accompanied with a configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory.
Both the processor and the RAM and storage configuration are more than enough to offer good performance on a day-to-day basis, even with the extended flexible screen.
Price and availability
Samsung has not given details on the price of this device. The company has mentioned that they will show more details about this folding mobile on September 1.
