The arrival of iOS 5 on the iPhone or iPad has made it more difficult for developers to Jailbreak Apple equipment, they have also introduced some improvements that are somewhat hidden. Some of them, for example, are: how to split the virtual keyboard, how to enter rich text in emails that are written from the native Mail application, or how to do some private sessions from the Safari browser. We will tell you all this below.
To start, write from the virtual keyboard of the iPad 2 when you do not have a flat base to support the team, is difficult. To do this, Apple introduced the so-called split keyboard on its new mobile platform. What does this mean? Well, from now on, you can hold the Apple tablet with both hands and with your thumbs, press, one by one, all the letters that make up the writing. To do this, you must slide your fingers from the center of the conventional keyboard to both sides. That is, as if you wanted to separate the keyboard in two. In this way, a new virtual keyboard is achieved that is much more comfortable and easy to use both vertically and horizontally.
On the other hand, being able to put rich text in emails that are written from the iPad 2, is already possible. Above all, if you use the native iOS 5 application: the so-called Mail. To achieve this, you must first select the text you want to edit. The finger is placed right on one of the words that will go within the text mark and all of them are selected with the contextual menu that appears. Once everything has been selected, another menu appears where an arrow appears at the end of the options. When pressed, the rich text options will appear and you only need to choose the desired option. Of course, it can only be applied: bold, underlined and italics.
Finally, if the iPad 2 is a common item in the home and is used by several people, the best way to preserve privacy is to be able to browse Internet pages without leaving traces of the sites visited. For this, the ideal is to be able to do a private browsing session. The iPad's Safari web browser also allows this option. But to make it effective, the user must go to the " Settings " section of the main menu and enter the " Safari " submenu. Inside, there is the option: " Private browsing ". You just have to activate the button. In this way, once inside the web browser, the customer will appreciate how the background of the navigation bar has taken on a darker tone. This will indicate that the option has been activated successfully and the entire trace of pages visited will be erased from the history.
