This is the TCL proposal with its Alcatel 1S. A mobile that can be bought from 100 euros and that can boast of having three rear cameras to take all kinds of photographs. It is an entry-level mobile that does not want to do without qualities in the photographic section, but that also shows solvency with its technical sheet and that does not neglect the design with a finish that simulates the northern lights. The CES fair in Las Vegas has been the place chosen by TCL for presentation, and here we tell you everything we know about it.
Three eyes see better than two
The Alcatel 1S breaks with the trend of the double camera in the entry range and adds a third. So for 99 euros, the official starting price, you can count on three objectives. Although the interesting thing is not only the quantity-price ratio, but the possibilities it adds to the typical wide-angle and bokeh scheme.
The system remains like this. A 13 megapixel main camera for main photos, with an f / 1.8 aperture for good brightness in dark environments. A second camera with a 5 megapixel sensor and f / 2.2 aperture with which to make bokeh or portraits in which the background is blurred with respect to the subject. And finally, a third camera with a 2 megapixel sensor focused on macro photography. That is, in capturing the details of scenes and objects very close to the camera.
They have not neglected details such as electronic image stabilization, HDR and Artificial Intelligence. The latter allows to recognize up to 22 different scenes to apply different photographic settings and achieve the best snapshot in each case.
Solvency for the input range
Under the chassis of this Alcatel 1S we find an 8-core MediaTek MT6762D processor accompanied by 3GB of RAM. A good number to ensure that applications and multitasking work reliably. In terms of storage, the space is 32GB (22GB real for the end user if we discount the operating system). But fear not for space, as there is a slot for microSD cards of up to 128GB capacity. And as for the battery, it offers 4,000 mAh, which should mean autonomy for the whole day according to the rest of the technical sheet.

All this is governed by Android 10, so get updated to the latest version of Google's operating system. It also does not lack other details such as the fingerprint sensor, the face unlock and all kinds of motion sensors. Wow, for 100 euros we have a really complete mobile.
Big screen and high-end finish
As for what we see on the outside of this Alcatel 1S, we must speak of a striking finish. It's called Aurora, and the interesting thing is that it has been created by laser engraving with a micro-texture. It is a finish with the “S” shape on its back that reflects the light in different ways as we move it. It's flashy and bright, like the Northern Lights, and comes in two different colors: Power Gray (grayish) and Agate Green (metallic teal).
This rear finish is accompanied by the fingerprint sensor, in the upper central part, the three cameras, the dual LED flash and the Alcatel logo. But if we turn the terminal we find another of its key points: the screen.
The Alcatel 1S features a 6.22-inch IPS panel. It is wide and occupies practically the entire front of the terminal thanks to the 19: 9 ratio. I mean, it's very panoramic. The glass has a 2.5D curved finish but the interesting thing is that the screen is capable of displaying images at an HD + resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. All this with a very well integrated mini notch or drop-shaped notch.
