The Galaxy family continues to grow. The South Korean manufacturer trusts its brand of smartphones destined for the Android ecosystem. On this occasion, what is exposed, once again, is a couple of teams that are common suspects in the field of the leaks. They are the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, a couple of teams that come to reissue previous proposals with slight modifications. However, when taking a look at the images published by the Chinese site Tenaa, the feeling that occurs is halfway between surprise and disappointment . But let's go in parts.
For starters, let's look at the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus. This equipment, at first glance, and judging by what the aforementioned Asian website shows, is practically indistinguishable from the original Samsung Galaxy S2: same design, same size and same location of buttons, camera and LED flash. Supposedly, it would be later this month when put on sale, although no official data to support this possibility. In performance, again, there are hardly any differences compared to the initial Samsung Galaxy S2. And even perhaps it loses some power: this Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus has, according to Tenaa, a dual-core processor at one GHzAnd an eight - megapixel camera and, once again, 4.3 - inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. One of its attractions is in the operating system, since it would go on sale directly with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
But the surprise continues. We look at the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos and what we seem to find is a Samsung Galaxy S3. How it sounds. Although technically it presents notable differences with the current high-end of the house, this equipment is, at first glance, a Samsung Galaxy S3 with slightly reduced dimensions. The smallest size of this Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos compared to the mobile that is close to 40 million terminals sold is determined by its screen. This time, we are facing a phone with a 4.5-inch panel. It is not high definition. In contrast, the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos develops a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Like the previous one, it would also launch with Android 4.1 from day one, although it is unclear when that day would be.
The cameras of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos would allow photographing with a maximum resolution of eight and two megapixels, depending on whether we are talking about the main or secondary sensor, respectively. In addition, it will carry a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and, as the main attraction for a very specific type of user, it will allow the installation of two simultaneous telephone lines, since the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos incorporates a dual SIM slot.
These two teams could be part of the advance that the South Korean multinational is reserving for the event that it is preparing in the framework of CES 2013, and of which this week it has offered an enigmatic preview in the form of video. In the absence of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos can be understood as interesting advances.
