The goodbye to Apple's proprietary 30-pin connector for iPhone, iPad and iPod is becoming increasingly solid. We have already shown you on several occasions the pulse that from the industry lies is taken about a change in the dock of home devices, which would go from the aforementioned configuration to a smaller 19-pin one.
The reason? The demands of two of the devices that are to fall, the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, whose designs, thinner, would have required a new port with modified dimensions. It has even been said that instead of 19 pins, the new dock would be based on an 8-pin profile. Despite everything, neither one nor the other has been confirmed. At least, not with the officiality that has a statement from Apple itself.
Despite everything, it seems that the existence of the 19-pin dock is a reality. This leak that we bring you is proof of this. From the A White Dot site they reveal an error in the Apple online store. According to this, and as long as it is not a trick that came out of Photoshop, the Cupertino company already contemplates the launch of adapters that serve so that those who have already had in their possession previous devices with wiring compatible with the 30-pin connection can keep using your accessories.
It would be a small interface that connects to the 19-pin dock, making it possible to use all the cables or terminals that we already had. In addition, it also should be hypothecated too much to get one of these adapters: the slip of Apple left bare that it is an affordable, only ten US dollars "" about eight euros at the current exchange rate, that would be ten euros to the non respect the translation of foreign currency ””.
But the thing does not end there. In addition to confirming, unofficially, the existence of a new standard among Apple mobile terminals, the tab for the 30 to 19-pin dock adapter highlights more information regarding the next devices in the house. For starters, it underlines the existence of a sixth-generation iPhone.
That could mean that, as it has come to be raised, Apple plays to baptize its next phone as "new iPhone", as it has done with the latest model of its tablet. In fact, in the same file it refers to this as "third generation iPad". However, at this point we must stop again, since when talking about this model, it makes a cursory but revealing distinction, referring to this iPad as the “late 2012” edition.
This data, again, invites us to bifurcate into two possibilities: it could well be a change in the model that was presented in March, so that there are two versions of the new iPad ””, one with a 30-pin dock and the other with a power connector. 19-pin ””, or it could be that this “late 2012” model is actually the rumored iPad Mini.
In spite of everything, there are no more indications to be able to lean towards one or another option, so it is convenient to remain calm and have some patience, in order to reveal new data while we wait for the official presentation of the next Apple phone.
