Despite the fact that the Chinese company Asus presented the Asus PadFone X at the beginning of this year, we have had to wait three months to officially know the official technical specifications of this device. What makes the Asus PadFone X so peculiar is that we are talking about a dual terminal consisting of a tablet and a smartphone. On the one hand, the smartphone can be used normally just as if it were a mobile from any other manufacturer. On the other hand, the user has a tablet on which he can place the mobile to use it on a larger screen.
Once the introductions, let's take a look at the technical specifications that we have known in relation to the Asus PadFone X. Let's start talking about the smartphone, which after all is most likely the terminal that the user will use the most. It is a phone that incorporates a screen five inches with a resolution of 1,080 pixels. Inside we find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores operating at a clock speed of 2.3 GHz in company memory RAM with 2 gigabytescapacity. The internal storage capacity is 16 GigaBytes expandable by means of an external microSD memory card. The operating system installed as standard is Android in its latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
In the multimedia aspect we have two cameras: a main chamber incorporating a sensor of 13 megapixels and a front camera -destinada mainly to videollamadas- incorporating a sensor two megapixels. All these specs are made possible by a 2,300 milliamp battery that can be recharged by incorporating the phone into the tablet.
And now let's go to the tablet. The "major" device the Asus PadFone X called the PadFone Station, and its screen has a size of nine inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. We also have a battery with a capacity of 4,990 milliamps that not only helps us to power the screen but also to recharge the phone's battery. The tablet does not incorporate any additional specification, since it works entirely thanks to the mobile phone, so until we insert it in its respective support we cannot make use of this larger device.
The information we handle has allowed us to know that the Asus PadFone X has its launch confirmed for the United States, and in principle it should go on the market before the end of the second quarter of this year. The great unknown lies in the European territory, since at the moment there is no official data that confirms or denies the possibility that this terminal ends up landing in our stores.
