- Motorola Moto G7: Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 GB of RAM
- The Snapdragon 660 could be reserved for the Motorola Moto G7 Plus
The departure of the new Motorola family, the Moto G7, is just around the corner. Sources close to the company have confirmed that it will be on February 7 when the three new Motorola devices will be presented in Mexico City DF As usually happens with the company's devices, most of their characteristics have already been filtered previously, as well as the design… Or so it seemed. And it is that just a few minutes ago the first Motorola Moto G7 benchmark was leaked, revealing the power of the phone and part of its technical specifications.
Motorola Moto G7: Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 GB of RAM
One of the main criticisms from users of the brand to the last Motorola Moto G6 presented during the past year came from the hardware. The processor of the 400 series that integrates the three mid-range models (with the exception of the Moto G6 Plus, with a Snapdragon 630), far from being a bad unit, seems insufficient for the starting price, which started at 200 euros.
This new generation seems to have made the leap, finally, to the 600 series. This is confirmed by the Motorola Moto G7 benchmark from the Geekbench page. The first rumors about the Moto G7 revealed a Snapdragon 660 processor and 4 GB of RAM. It seems that ultimately it will not be, opting for an inferior model in terms of processing and graphics capacity.
The test in question that we can see just above this paragraph reveals a specification sheet made up of a Snapdragon 625 processor with eight cores and 14 gauges, 3 GB of RAM and Android 9 as the base system. The score for the entire computation gives us results of 1260 in single-core tasks and 4759 in multicore tasks, results, in general terms, far from those of other competing mobiles.
The Snapdragon 660 could be reserved for the Motorola Moto G7 Plus
Little is known about the characteristics of the Motorola Moto G7 Plus today. However, considering the rumors about the implementation of a Snapdragon 660 in the Motorola G series, the arrival of this processor to the Plus model could be highly unlikely. We do not know if the company will choose to mount a superior model (Snapdragon 670 or 710), what is certain is that it will have a unit superior to that of the Moto G7. This has been the case historically and is expected.
Otherwise, both devices will be practically identical in what it has with the design, which will be based on a screen with a drop-type notch and a rear case similar to that of the Moto G6. The cameras are also expected to be identical (16 and 5 megapixel dual sensor); not so the size of the devices, the Plus model being somewhat higher than the base G7.
