Android 9 Pie is now official. It is reaching Google's own equipment (Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2) and the Essential Phone. But what about the rest of the manufacturers? In a recent post on the China Weibo social network, a Huawei official confirmed that the developer team is working hard to deliver the latest major update to this latest version. Specifically, four phones in particular entered beta version 9.0 on August 6.
This means that Huawei is already working so that some of its devices can have Android Pie as soon as possible. From what we know, the four smartphones that are talked about would be the company's flagships: Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10 and Honor View 10. It should be noted that the P20 Pro would also be implicit. The Weibo post also mentions that very soon other devices of the firm will follow in the footsteps of the phones mentioned above. Once the initial evaluation and testing are complete, Huawei will announce an official roadmap and a list of candidate smartphones to receive Android 9.
Main features of Android 9 Pie
Devices that manage to update to Android 9 will be lucky to have a series of very outstanding features. One of the most interesting is the adaptive battery system. The platform will be able to recognize your usage patterns to better manage the autonomy of the mobile. In this way, you will always have battery for the applications and services that you use frequently. Android Pie will also predict what you want to do, so you don't waste so much time handling your computer. For example, connecting your headphones will show your favorite songs. Or during working hours, apps that you use in your day will be a priority.
Android 9 also comes with redesigned icons and settings, a timer for the use of apps, do not disturb mode, as well as the Wind Down function. At the time you choose, the screen will turn gray to remind you that it is time to put your phone down and rest.
