BQ, the Spanish brand of mobile devices, has just made official the list of terminals that will be compatible and will update to Android 9 Pie, thus obtaining the new design called Material Design 2 and all the improvements aimed at performance, optimization, autonomy and more, using the power of Artificial Intelligence. • BQ Aquaris X2 and BQ Aquaris X2 Pro . Both terminals were launched in June of this year, containing Android 8.1 Oreo.
• BQ Aquaris X Pro and BQ Aquaris X. These phones were released in June 2017, with Android 7.1 Nougat installed. In May 2018 they proceeded to update to Android 8.1 Oreo, with Android 9 Pie being their second major update.
• BQ Aquaris U2 and BQ Aquaris U2 Lite. They were released in September 2017 with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. Right now they are in the beta phase of Android 8.1 Oreo. Android 9 Pie will be its expected second big update.
• BQ Aquaris V, BQ Aquaris V Plus, BQ Aquaris VS and BQ Aquaris VS Plus. Each pair of models were released in September 2017 and February 2018, respectively. The 4 terminals carried Android 7.1.2 and are currently in the beta phase of Android 8.1 Oreo, with the update to Android 9 Pie being the second that is expected for these terminals.

If your terminal is not on the list, we regret to inform you that it will not get official updates to Android 9 Pie. However, if your phone is compatible, it only remains to wait for BQ to release the update, for which there is no scheduled date yet. We will continue to inform about it.
