We have known for some time that ZTE would be working on a new folding mobile. The device could be called Axon M and would be launched over the next few weeks or months. From what we know to date, the new terminal would have two screens capable of folding into a single panel phone. When unfolded it would transform into a larger device, with more screen. In total, it would reach a size of 6.8 inches with a total resolution of 2,160 x 1,920 pixels.
Telephony could take a giant step forward next year with the arrival of folding smartphones. Samsung could unveil the much-rumored Galaxy X and ZTE could also surprise with a model currently known as Axon M. A panel that would fold according to our interests
The great novelty of the ZTE Axon M, as we could see recently in the leak of the FCC (where it appeared with the code name FCC ID ”“ SRQ-Z999), is that it would have two very different parts. Both would be separated by a hinge, which would be the fundamental piece that would allow the rotation of the two panels with which it would arrive. It is important to note that it does not appear that it will have a single folding screen. Rather, it would be two that work together.

According to rumors, the total diagonal of the new folding mobile would reach 6.8 inches. Each of the two panels would have a resolution of 1,920 - 1,080 pixels.
Possible specifications
ZTE's folding mobile would have already passed through the WiFi Alliance and the US communication agency FCC. It would also have done the same in an important performance test, revealing some of its possible characteristics. From what we know so far, the Axon M could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which would be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The storage capacity, for its part, would be 32 GB, we imagine that with the possibility of expanding through microSD cards.
Regarding the photographic section, the new folding mobile would equip a 20 megapixel main sensor. For now there is no data on the front sensor, although it may end up having a resolution of 8 megapixels. In addition, this model would be governed by Android 7.1.1 Nougat and would house a 3,120 mAh battery inside. Hopefully with the possibility of resorting to fast charging.
Launch and price
There are many rumors that the ZTE Axon M could be announced today, October 17. Its launch could occur days later. For now, at the time of this writing, the company has not commented. We will have to wait to see if it happens. If so, ZTE would be ahead of Samsung and other companies with a folding mobile that would revolutionize the market. Its price could roll around 600 euros.
