Attention, Yoigo customers, because rate changes are coming from May 14th. The prices of the international calls that we make from Spain, as well as the sending of SMS, also outside Spain and within the European Union, will undergo a change that will affect all customers. So, if you are a Yoigo customer and you usually call within Europe, these changes interest you.
Currently, calling foreign countries from Spain, regardless of whether the destination of the call is within the European Union, costs the following:
- Call establishment: 18.15 cents, VAT included.
- International calls: 36.30 cents every minute, VAT included.
- SMS: the price of the message is the same as sending it within Spain, regardless of the rate you have: 12.10 cents each message.
As of May 14, these prices will change when it comes to calling the following countries on the list: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Martinique Island, Reunion Island, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mayotte, Norway, Poland, Portugal (includes Madeira and Azonres), United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden and Vatican City.
- Call establishment: 22.99 cents, VAT included.
- Cost of the first minute: 0 cents.
- Cost of the second and subsequent minutes: 22.99 cents.
- The price of each SMS sent will be 7.26 cents.
Therefore, the new rates will only affect international calls and SMS ' that you make from fixed and mobile lines from Spain to any country in the European Economic Area (EEA) ' as specified by the Yoigo's official website. With this change in amount, Yoigo complies with the new regulation (EU) 2018/1971 of December 11, 2018. As the main novelty, the call establishment rises more than 4 cents although the first minute is free. Before, if we called from Spain to Europe for just one minute it had a price of 18.5 + 36.30 of 34.80 cents. Now, however, that same call is going to cost us 22.99 cents, a reduction of 11.81 cents.
