After the tempers have calmed between Huawei and the United States, the company continues its usual rhythm and would currently be working on the successors of the Mate 20. Both the Huawei Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro are expected this fall with benefits surprising. According to rumors, the devices would have a new processor and would have a photographic section consisting of four main cameras. In addition, they would come with improvements related to battery charging and news in Artificial Intelligence.
If you want to be up to date and know what Huawei could be preparing for this fall, keep reading. Next, we review everything that is known so far about the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro.
The design of the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro
The new Huawei devices would have a design very similar to each other, although not identical. This is something we already saw last year, so it wouldn't be too surprising. The Mate 20 landed with a slightly different rear and a slightly more prominent front in the case of the Pro version. This year the same could happen. Not only because they would vary in size, but also because the Mate 30 Pro would boast more pronounced curves than the standard model.
In any case, this time the front of the Mate 30 and 30 Pro would be almost identical. Some sources assure that without notch, without visible frames and with a perforation on the screen, which would be double in the case of the Mate 20 Pro. Others continue to speak of the presence of notch, but this time in the form of a drop of water for the Mate 30 Pro.
The characteristics of the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro
Both the Huawei Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro are expected with high-end features. In fact, both phones are ready to compete with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Pro that we expect in a few days. Of the two models, the Mate 30 would be the more compact. It would have a 6.5-inch panel and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. For its part, the Mate 30 Pro would increase the size of its screen to 6.7 inches and a resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels. Some reports argue that the Mate 30 Pro would include a display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which would make it perfect for gamers.
At the performance level, everything indicates that they would be powered by a Kirin 985 processor. In any case, rumors maintain that after its launch, at Christmas time, the company could place on the market a Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G with a Kirin 990 processor, which would be very similar, but with connectivity to the new communication networks. About RAM there is a lot of controversy, rumors indicate that they would offer between 6 and 8 GB of RAM. However, the Pro model is expected to have a superior one. The same goes for storage. We speak of several versions of 128 GB, 256 GB and up to 512 GB, we imagine that they can be expanded by using NM Card type cards.
And what about the battery? From what is known, both devices would be equipped with batteries that would exceed 4,000 mAh and would also have a fast charging system. Mind you, the Mate 30 Pro is expected to include faster fast charging. At the moment, we do not know more exact data, but everything indicates that this section would not pose too much problem given the general characteristics of the phones.
Photographic section
And we come to a section in which users pay close attention when it comes to getting a new mobile, especially if it is high-end. Precisely, this would be one of the strengths of the new Huawei phones, just as it was in last year's models. However, of course, there would be obvious improvements. Without going any further, the sources suggest that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro would include four cameras composed of a 40 megapixel main sensor with variable aperture from f / 1.6 to f / 1.4.This would be followed by a second 40 megapixel ultra wide angle 120 degree lens along with a third 8 megapixel telephoto sensor and a ToF or Time of Flight sensor. This means that the Mate 30 Pro would become the first phone on the market to incorporate two 40-megapixel lenses in its photographic section.
If we look at these rumors, one of the big changes with respect to the Huawei P30 Pro would be the wide-angle camera, which would go from 20 to 40 megapixels. However, what is the zoom seems to be maintained. The P30 Pro was unveiled with a 5x optical zoom and a 50X digital zoom. The Mate 30 Pro is planned to include exactly the same features. For its part, the Huawei Mate 30 would have 24 + 16 + 8 + 5 megapixel cameras, and it would not get the TOF sensor for a better definition of depth when capturing.
It should be noted that the latest rumors agree that the Mate 30 Pro would keep the square camera module, seen in its predecessor. This debunks those rumors that claimed that it would include a new circular module. On the front cameras it is said that they would be 24 and 32 megapixels respectively. To date, no special function has been leaked for these front cameras, although we expect some news from the company.
Price and availability
Considering that the Huawei Mate 8 was launched in November 2015, the Mate 9 in November 2016, the Mate 10 in October 2017 and the Mate 20 in October 2018, it is very likely that the Mate 30 and 30 Pro will do the same between October and November of this year. Therefore, it is almost certain that we expect you next fall. Regarding prices, they could continue to remain in the same range as those of their predecessors, or even rise if we observe the trend of other years.
The Mate 20 was launched at a price of 800 euros, while the Mate 20 Pro cost at the time of its launch 900 euros. A year before that, the Huawei Mate 10 went on the market at a price of 700 euros, and the Pro model at 800 euros. Thus, taking this into account, will we then see the Mate 30 for 900 euros and the Mate 30 Pro for 1,000 euros? We can only get out of doubts at the time of its release.
