The first terminals of the brand to receive the EMUI 9.1 update are the Honor 20 Lite and Honor View20. System-on-Chip
This new update reduces the power consumption of the SoC (System-on-Chip) while gaming by 10%. In addition, it will increase the efficiency of graphic processing, making the most of its power.
EROFS system
The new Extensible Read-Only File System (EROFS) improves the performance of Honor phones, increasing random read by an average of 20%, application startup speed by 10%, data reading performance when there is little available memory and increased security of system files.
Smart Vlog Video Editing
Honor has taken notice of the growing YouTube community and in its EMUI 9.1 version it will allow users to edit videos and create professional-level video blogs that they can share with social networks with a single click. This smart edit automatically adds presets, appropriate background music, and special effects to add a cinematic effect to your vlog.
New interface design
Honor wants to improve the user experience with the EMUI layer, renovating the application icons to make them look more realistic, adding quality improvement on the edge of them to increase their readability. The new theme available in EMUI 9.1 provides the user with different never-before-shown wallpapers that will try to take full advantage of the screen resolution.
Measurement of objects and people
Function only available on Honor 20View. Thanks to TOF cameras and augmented reality technology, the layer will allow users to measure objects and people quickly. This measurement consists of a calculation of the length, area and volume.
To update to EMUI 9.1 you can go to 'Settings', then click on 'System' and, finally, select 'Software update'.
