Asus doesn't exactly stand out for updating its devices too hastily but, to be fair, it must also be said that it is not a brand that neglects its older smartphones or that are lower in the catalog. In this case, however, we are talking about one of its star terminals, the Asus Zenfone 5Z, launched in June of this year and which reaches a price of about 500 euros.
Apparently, users of the Asus Zenfone 5Z would 'only' have to wait until January 2019 to see how their phones are updated to the expected version 9 of Android. It would, of course, be the first Asus brand phone to have all the advantages of the new version of Google's operating system. Android 9 Pie features on the Asus Zenfone 5Z
In general, Android 9 Pie will use all the benefits of artificial intelligence to offer the best of the phone to users. For example, it promises greater autonomy (that is, more battery) because, thanks to artificial intelligence, the phone will know about our habits, prioritizing some applications over others and thus save energy at all times. Android calls this ' adaptive battery '. The same happens with the applications that we open and what part of them will have to be prioritized because they are the ones we use the most. The phone will know when we open which applications, giving priority to certain sections of them, in order to offer greater performance and efficiency in our terminals.
Android 9 Pie also launches gesture navigation, that is, to go backwards, to the main screen or multitasking we will no longer need buttons on the screen but gestures on it, something that we already have in some layers of customization such as MIUI.
Now, when we select any text, a pop-up menu will appear offering us action alternatives. For example, if we select a phone number, a shortcut to call will appear. Thus, navigation will be much faster and more intuitive.
