We thought we already knew everything about the next Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, but every day we come across new information, features and images that confirm what had already leaked before. This is the case, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, in addition to their possible colors, have been filtered, and how could we expect, they resemble what has already been rumored.
The prices have been filtered through a data sheet in a database of a Ukrainian trader. These devices appear in the document as Galaxy S8 + (model SM-G955) and Galaxy S8 (model SM-G950) that is where the possible color variants appear, which would be black, gold and another called ”˜Orchid Gray” ™ which possibly light gray. We see no hint of the other colors, such as blue or pink. But that does not mean that they will not appear officially.
As for prices, the most basic Galaxy S8 model (64GB) would cost $ 950, which would be approximately 850 euros. The Galaxy S8 Plus would be priced at $ 1,050, roughly 940 euros. They would cost at least 100 euros more than when the Galaxy S7 was launched. These prices would have been consistent with the latest rumors, but most likely, depending on the market, prices could vary considerably. It should also be noted that they would be the most basic versions (64GB), which is possibly the only version at the international level.
Possible characteristics and presentation date
The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus would come with a glass design and hardly any frames on the front. The fingerprint reader would go to the back, next to the camera, leaving a hole at the bottom of the front for the Samsung logo. Between the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus there would be a rather small size comparison, as it would only expand by 0.3 inches.
Every day we find different information about the new Samsung devices, but there are almost confirmed specifications, such as the screen of both devices, everything points to a size of 5.8 inches for the S8 and 6.2 inches for the S8 Plus, both with QHD resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels). They would include an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, accompanied with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
As for the cameras, it is rumored that they will be 12 megapixels for the rear and 8 megapixels for the front. Regarding the battery capacity, it is expected to be at least 3000 mAh with fast charging. On the other hand, it will incorporate Android 7.0 Nougat, with its characteristics and different modifications; as your own personalization layer, or a virtual assistant. As for connections and special features, we know that it will have a fingerprint reader, water resistance and possibly an iris scanner.
Samsung will announce the presentation date of the Galaxy S8 during the Mobile World Congress, but everything points to March 29, in New York.
