The rumors about the new Samsung flagship for 2017 do not stop. You really want to see what the new Samsung Galaxy S8 will look like and what it will offer. Therefore, the leaks continue to happen hour after hour. If a few hours ago we showed you new images created to check the final appearance that the terminal could have, now what appears to be an image showing the screen of a supposed Samsung Galaxy S8 in operation has appeared on the network. As we always say, it is not possible to confirm that the image is real, so we must take this information with tweezers.
All the rumors and leaks that have appeared so far about the Samsung Galaxy S8 have one thing clear. And is that the screen will occupy practically the entire front part, with very thin lower and upper frames. Many media speak of a screen body ratio of between 87% and 89%. It is basically what the last photo that appeared on the Chinese Twitter, Weibo, shows. In it we can see the bottom of the device, with a curved screen on both sides and no home button. The connector is a USB Type-C and the headphone jack also appears. As we said, it is an image that, although it fits with the rumors that have appeared to date, could well be a fake.
We do not know what Samsung will finally do, but everything indicates that we will no longer have differentiation between models because of the curved screen, but because of its size. We will thus have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The difference in size between the two is unknown, but it is said that the Plus model could exceed 6 inches of screen.
In addition to a screen that occupies a lot of terminal area, the design of the new model would also be marked by the use of a glossy material for the back. Whether or not it will be crystal is not yet known, but the company's movements seem to point in that direction. Although it would be great if they surprised us with a ceramic body. As we have already commented on several occasions, the new design of the front would force to change the location of the fingerprint reader to the rear. The vast majority of leaks and images created place it right next to the camera.
A camera that, if we listen to the rumors, will remain unique and with characteristics very similar to those of the Samsung Galaxy S7 camera. Perhaps larger pixels are used and, why not, a larger aperture.
For the rest, a change of processor to an even more powerful version and, possibly, an increase in RAM memory is expected. What could be maintained is the internal storage capacity, as long as the design allows to continue having a MicroSD card slot.
For now we will have to wait a long time to know if all these leaks have any truth. As you surely know, Samsung has confirmed that this year it will not present the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the MWC in Barcelona. The presentation, although not yet confirmed, is expected by the end of March.
