After what happened with the Note 7, users and media are eager to see what the next Samsung flagship will look like for next year. The rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 do not stop, indeed, they are increasing. If the company follows the same planning as in other years, the expected smartphone will be presented at the end of February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, as usual. Although there are still a couple of months left, rumors and leaks continue to appear on the network and giving us small previews of what the terminal could be like. Now an image has been published on Weibo in which we can see the possible final appearance that the Samsung Galaxy S8 could haveif we are based on the rumors that have appeared so far.
One of the rumors that is getting the most force about the new Samsung terminal is the one referring to the design change. The company has been maintaining the same design for two years and everything indicates that this year there could be news. Rumors assure that the company will opt for a front without a Home button and with the screen taking up all the space. The fingerprint reader would be placed behind the display glass. In addition, it is most likely that the model without a curved screen will disappear, launching two models with a curved screen on the sides but with different screen diagonals. The image that has been published on the popular Chinese social network shows precisely this,a device with a body-screen ratio of almost 90%, with very thin edges in which we only see the front camera and the speaker at the top end; and the Samsung logo at the bottom.
Although it seems quite real, it is good to remember that it is a "render", that is, a design made in 3D based on the rumors that have appeared so far, so you have to take it with a grain of salt. In addition to the possible design change, rumors speak of, as we mentioned, two curved models with different screen sizes. Some claim that the 5.1 and 5.5 inches of the current models could be maintained, but most rumors suggest that the size of the screen will be increased to please fans of the Note range.
Of course, inside the Samsung Galaxy S8 we will see an increase in power, possibly with the Exynos 8895 processor and with an increase in RAM memory up to 6 GB. There has also been talk of an increase in internal storage capacity up to 256 GB, although we see this unlikely, at least not as a unique model.
Another aspect that always improves in the new generations is the camera. Although it was assumed that Samsung would opt for a dual lens system like the one that most current "top" terminals have, the latest rumors suggest that the Korean company could keep the single camera on the Samsung Galaxy S8, improving its specifications. If we think about it it would not be a crazy option, since the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S7, although it does not have a double lens, does incorporate a double sensor.
As we always comment, until it is official, rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 will continue to appear, some more credible than others, but which will surely allow us to get an idea of what we will see next year.
