We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy M31s, the natural evolution of the Galaxy M31 that arrives on the market to fill some of the shortcomings of the original model. All this while maintaining the virtues of the aforementioned model, such as the 6,000 mAh battery or the quartet of cameras on the back. A body that gets rid of the fingerprint sensor and the drop-shaped notch
The aesthetic changes of the new generation are minimal. On the one hand, the Galaxy M31s gets rid of the fingerprint sensor on the rear. Now Samsung has opted for a fingerprint sensor under the screen, which results in a much more minimalist back cover.
Returning to the front of the terminal, Samsung has completely gotten rid of the notch in the shape of a drop of water. As with the rest of the M-series models, the phone has an island-shaped notch. Another improvement to the front comes with the optimization of the space occupied by the screen in relation to the diagonal of the chassis.
This is due, in part, to the increase in the size of the screen, which goes from 6.4 inches to 6.5. Speaking of the screen, the Galaxy M31s uses the same panel as the original model: AMOLED matrix, Full HD + resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Same technical set with improvements in fast charging
So is. The technical section is led by the same processor, the Exynos 9611. The only difference is found in the available memory configurations, with two options with 6 and 8 GB of RAM and a single option with 128 GB of internal storage of type UFS 2.1.
Where if we find a substantial improvement is in fast charging technology, which goes from 15 W to 25 W, charger included. It is worth saying that the phone has a reversible cable charging system, which makes it possible to use it as an external battery, an external battery of no less than 6,000 mAh.
No differences in the photographic section
If we talk about the photographic section of the device, the differences between the Galaxy M31 and the Galaxy M31s are practically non-existent. In fact, we find the same camera pack as the original model, both in the rear and in the front.
In summary, the device uses four cameras of 64, 12, 5 and 5 megapixels with the typical distribution of sensors: main sensor, wide angle lens, macro lens and depth sensor. At the front we find a single 32 megapixel camera with face unlock functions and f / 2.0 focal aperture.
Price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy M31s
As usual, Samsung has not given many details about the Galaxy M31s outside of India. In exchange, the price of the phone is 222 and 245 euros in its two versions of 6 and 8 GB of RAM. It is expected to arrive in Spain in the coming weeks.
