It seems that Xiaomi and Samsung compete to see who brings more phones to the market. If a few weeks ago we saw an increase in the Redmi family of Xiaomi, Samsung is doing the same with the Galaxy A. After presenting the A51 and A71 as its two new mid / high range, now comes the most basic model with which Samsung wants overshadowing Xiaomi, the Galaxy A01. Find out here what its benefits are.
The truth is that you have to review its characteristics twice to see if we are really facing a low-end terminal. Its layout and camera settings do give us a hint, but its RAM settings don't. Samsung has wanted to add two variants. On the one hand one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. On the other, one that increases up to 8 GB of RAM, also with 128 GB of internal memory (in both cases expandable by micro SD). All this with an eight-core processor of which we do not know the model. It is a configuration similar to what we find in the mid / high range terminals. Of course, this could affect the price, which has not yet been announced.
The terminal has a 5.7-inch screen with HD + resolution. Samsung calls this panel 'Infinity-v', since the notch that we see in the upper area has a V shape. There is a 5 megapixel selfie camera. The main camera is dual, with a resolution of 13 and 2 megapixels. This second lens is used for depth of field. This way we get better photographs with portrait effect.

Basic design for Samsung's new entry
If we review its physical appearance, we do realize that we are facing an entry range. The back is made of polycarbonate, and here Samsung has not wanted to do much. It has a matte black finish, without any gradient effect. In the upper area is the double camera, which is accompanied by an LED flash. In the center is the Samsung logo. Below we find the main speaker. A somewhat uncomfortable location if we want to listen to music, since with the screen facing up the speaker is closed and can distort the sound.
As for the front, we find minimal frames in the upper area, but somewhat more pronounced in the lower part. The sides are also made of polycarbonate. We do not have a fingerprint reader, so the only security methods are the PIN code, pattern and fingerprint reader.
Price and availability
At the moment the price and availability of this device is unknown. Everything indicates that it will be one of the cheapest models in the Galaxy A range, but we will have to wait for Samsung to confirm the price.
