Samsung would have completed the development of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, its next flagships that it would announce at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This would have been confirmed by The Android Soul, who has also leaked the supposed final characteristics of the new devices. What is most striking about this new information is the location of the fingerprint reader to the rear. There is also talk of the double main camera for the Plus model and the elimination of the start button (home), a rumor that was already constant.
The Mobile World Congress is just a few weeks away . The largest mobility fair starts in Barcelona on February 27, although a day before Samsung is scheduled to hold its traditional Unpacked. This year the South Korean could present two new phones, whose development, according to The Android Soul, would have concluded in the last hours. This would have allowed to know in an extra official way a large part of the final characteristics that the new teams could have. The standard version baptized as Galaxy S8 would have a screen size of 5.7 inches. This version would be accompanied by a vitaminized model with the surname Plus, whose screen would go up to 6.2 inches. For now the resolutions are a mystery, although it is possible that they stay in QHD or, hopefully, there would be a 4K resolution for the Plus version.
The design would be quite different, superior to previous generations. For starters, the new phones would have a curved panel on both sides, so this year there would be no distinction between one version and another. A (better quality) metallic chassis is expected, compact and, best, no physical home button. As all the rumors suggest, it would be included within the touch screen itself in order to give it even more prominence. It is also expected that the fingerprint reader passes to the rear.
Inside both phones we would find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which would be accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage for the base model. There is also talk of a version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal capacity. In any case, it is hoped that it can be expanded through the use of microSD-type cards. Another great novelty this year that we will see in the new devices will be Bixby, Samsung's new virtual assistant, with artificial intelligence similar to Siri. As can be expected, the two phones will already come with Android 7.0 pre-loaded, a version that has a large number of features, including the new multi-window function, which allows you to enjoy two applications simultaneously from the same screen.
For the rest, with regard to the photographic section, the medium ensures that only the Plus version would have a dual camera, whose resolution for now is a data that we do not know. Everything indicates that the new Galaxy S8 will land in the markets next April. For now, of course, prices are unknown, although we think they will be in line with their predecessors, starting at 700 euros.
