A new Samsung phone has appeared on the popular Geekbench and GFXBench pages. It is identified by the code SM-J720F, which suggests that it is the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018. However, some of the leaked features are a bit surprising. Especially those referring to the screen, which seems to decrease in resolution compared to the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017. Its features include 4 GB of RAM or the use of Android 8 Nougat. However, other features, such as the camera, seem not to undergo much change. Let's see what the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 could offer us.
As we mentioned, data from a new Samsung terminal has been published. These have appeared on two of the most famous benchmarking platforms. According to GFXBench, the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 will have a 5.5-inch screen with HD resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. That is, it will have a classic design with a 16: 9 screen. In addition, the resolution draws our attention, since the Samsung Galaxy J7 has Full HD resolution.
Inside the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 it seems that we will have an Exynos 7885 processor. It is a chip with eight cores and a maximum frequency of 1.6 GHz. Accompanying this processor we have 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. This represents a significant increase over the current model.
As for the photographic section, it seems that Samsung will not opt for the dual camera system. This will be reserved for the Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 and the top of the range. According to published tests, the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 will have a 12 megapixel rear camera. This will be able to record video in Full HD resolution.
On the front we will have an 8 megapixel sensor. This will also be able to record video in Full HD resolution. On the other hand, the installed operating system will be Android 8.0 Oreo.
Although the date has not been confirmed, the passage through these two tests is the prelude to the launch of the devices. Samsung may even decide to launch the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 before MWC. Its price, of course, has not been revealed, but it could be around 250 euros.
