Samsung is the manufacturer that sells the most mobile phones in Spain. This is shown by a new report from Kantar Worldpanel, with data corresponding to the end of last year. The South Korean is positioned a little ahead of Huawei and well above rivals such as Apple or LG. The concrete figures show how Samsung achieved 24 percent share in 2016, followed by Huawei, which took 21 percent. BQ has also had a position in this ranking of mobile sales in Spain, with a 12 percent share. Apple and LG have been far behind with 8 and 6 percent market share, respectively.
Samsung is the one who sells the most phones in our country, but the best-selling mobile belongs to Huawei. It is the Huawei P8 Lite, which last year achieved 6.2 percent of mobile sales in Spain. This terminal boasts a slim design made of aluminum alloy. It mounts a 5-inch HD screen and an eight-core HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor. Other features are a 13 megapixel main camera with autofocus and LED flash or a 2,200 milliamp battery.
Behind the Huawei P8 Lite would be a Samsung device. Specifically, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016, with 5.7 percent of sales. It is also an affordable model with a five-inch screen or a quad-core processor. With these data, Samsung continues to demonstrate its unstoppable strength in our country. The South Korean company will announce a new flagship phone in the coming weeks. The Samsung Galaxy S8 would come with innovative features, such as the absence of the home button or a curved screen for the standard version. The firm would not forget its mid-range and will also announce new models. Let's hope we meet some of them during the next Mobile World Congress.
