- Activate the Phone's Airplane Mode (Android and iOS)
- Access the WhatsApp folders in the internal memory of the phone (Android)
- Share it directly with Telegram (Android and iPhone)
- The last option: forward the audio to another contact (Android and iPhone)
WhatsApp voice notes have been with us since 2014. Despite the fact that the application has been designing new functions from year to year, the truth is that today it is not possible to listen to WhatsApp voice notes without seeing either on iPhone or on Android. Fortunately, there are methods that allow us to play the audio notes without activating the double blue check , methods that we will detail below.
Activate the Phone's Airplane Mode (Android and iOS)
So is. The most direct and easiest way to play a voice memo without being detected is based on activating Airplane Mode. In this way, the application will be unable to connect to the Internet, so it will not be able to send the read notification to the contact who sent the voice note.
Another option is to disable mobile data or the WiFi network to perform this same process. Any method is valid to play voice memos incognito.
Access the WhatsApp folders in the internal memory of the phone (Android)
Activating airplane mode is the fastest and most efficient method of playing audio notes without being seen. The problem is that once we have an Internet connection again, the notification is sent to WhatsApp.
To avoid this, we can resort to the original file, which is encoded in OPUS format in one of the WhatsApp folders. In this way, we can listen to the voice memo without opening WhatsApp or being detected by the contact.
Starting from the previous premise, we will have to resort to a file explorer to locate the folder that WhatsApp uses to store voice notes. With the file explorer open, we will access the following path:
- WhatsApp / Media / WhatsApp Voice Notes / creation date / notadevoz.opus
To locate the folder and the file that we want to listen to, we can be guided by the date and time of creation that will be accompanied by the name of the folder. We can also click on Details to know the exact creation time of each folder or file.
Once the file in question is located, we will have to resort to third-party converters to transform the audio into a format readable by third-party players, such as MP3 or WMA.
Share it directly with Telegram (Android and iPhone)
The latest Telegram updates have made the integrated music player compatible with the OPUS format. In fact, we can share the voice memo with Telegram directly from the WhatsApp options. Just hold the message with your finger and click on the corresponding icon to see the list of applications with which we can share the file.
If we select Telegram, we can send the audio to ourselves by clicking on the Saved messages option. From this conversation we can also play the audio without having to convert it to MP3 previously.
The last option: forward the audio to another contact (Android and iPhone)
Perhaps the easiest way to listen to a WhatsApp voice memo without seeing it is to forward the audio in question to another conversation. To maintain the privacy of the contact, we can create a group with a single person (ourselves) through the application options.
As WhatsApp does not allow you to create a group with a single contact, the key is to add a trusted contact to expel them later. Once created, it will be enough to resend the audio to the group that we finished to reproduce it from there.
