The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a mobile with a really interesting design. The Korean company has achieved a new design with almost no frames that attracts attention. And it has also kept the good characteristics of the previous model. Today from Samsung itself they have explained to us how it is built inside. The company has published two images in which we can see all the components of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Let's take a look at them.
We start at the front. Here we have the screen, a curved OLED panel with an 18.5: 9 aspect ratio. A screen that fills 80% of the front of the device. This is covered by a Gorilla Glass 5 glass. Also on the front we have the DDI (Display Driver IC), which serves to reduce power consumption without compromising image quality. In addition to the pressure sensor, which is installed under the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The front camera is located on the top bezel and offers an 8 megapixel sensor and f / 1.7 aperture. It is also equipped with facial recognition technology. Right next to it we have the iris scanner and the usual sensors, such as light and proximity.
In this image of the front of the Samsung Galaxy S8 we also see some internal components. For example, we have the processor (Mobile AP), a chip manufactured in 10nm. We also see the memories, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 64 GB UFS of internal storage.
The company has redesigned the PCB (the main board) to minimize the space between the processor and the cooling system. This ensures that the mobile can perform very heavy tasks without getting hot.
Finally, we have the microSD card slot on the top and the speaker on the bottom.
Rear
Koreans have also shown us the components of the Samsung Galaxy S8 from the other side. If we look at the image from the back, the first thing that stands out is the camera. As you already know, it is a Dual Pixel sensor with 12 megapixels and f / 1.7 aperture. Right next to the camera we have the fingerprint scanner and the heart rate sensor.
Much of the rear is occupied by the battery. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 3,000-milliamp battery and the Galaxy S8 + has a 3,500-milliamp battery. The battery has a shock absorber and rubber system to protect it. At the bottom we have the USB-C connector to charge the mobile and transfer data.
The USB-C port also allows the mobile to connect to DeX Station, an accessory that allows the smartphone to be used as a desktop computer, offering a quick and safe transition.
Among the multiple sensors and chips we have Bluetooth 5.0, thus becoming one of the first phones with this system. This version offers twice the data transfer speed, increases data transmission capacity by 800% and can cover four times more space than the previous version.
We also have the WiFi antenna, the wireless charging system, the NFC chip and the category 16 LTE antennas. These are compatible with 1 Gbps LTE networks.
Finally, on the lower right side we have the headphone jack. There was speculation for a while that the S8 might not include this connector, but eventually the company decided to stick with it. A decision that is surely supported by the majority of users.
All components are sealed to protect against water and dust. That is why the Samsung Galaxy S8 is IP68 certified. That is, it can be submerged for 30 minutes without, in theory, being damaged.
