Xiaomi has unveiled new devices for the high-end, among which is the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha. The terminal, which has been the protagonist of numerous leaks in recent weeks, comes with an impressive triple rear camera with a 108 megapixel sensor. It is the first mobile in the world to incorporate a lens of such high resolution, capable of generating 12,032 x 9,024 pixels photos.
But in addition, the new Mi Mix Alpha also offers a design with a curved panel, which extends towards the back of the phone, as well as a Snapdragon 855+ processor along with 12 GB of RAM. The new model of the company will soon go on sale in China at a price that seems within the reach of few pockets: 2,560 euros at the current exchange rate. Read on for all the details.

If we look at the images of the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha we see a design that is far from other rival models. It has a screen christened by the company as "4D surrounded curve display", which extends towards the back of the phone, transforming into a panel almost entirely. It is only interrupted by a rear strip for the main cameras. We can say that the Mi Mix Alpha boasts curved edges with an angle of 90º, which causes its sides to be easily seen when fully tilted. The phone has been constructed with a titanium alloy and glass envelope. The rear strip where the camera is housed is ceramic.
As for the size of the screen, this is 6-inch AMOLED with a QHD + resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and a 20: 9 aspect ratio. Inside the device there is a 2.96 GHz Snapdragon 855+ processor, accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB storage. We therefore have only one version of this model. It is a more than solvent set to work with very current applications and games or to make use of several processes at the same time without fluidity problems. It should not be forgotten that it is governed by Android 10 along with the new layer of personalization of the company MIUI 11.
The photographic section of the new Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is perhaps the highlight of its technical section. It is made up of three main chambers. The first has a resolution of 108 megapixels, capable of generating images of 12,032 x 9,024 pixels. Although the normal thing is that they occupy a lot in the memory of the phone, the truth is that we can enjoy a quality never seen before on a mobile device. This first sensor is accompanied by a second 20 megapixel with a super wide angle lens, and a third 12 megapixel sensor. The latter is responsible for offering 2x optical zoom.
It should be noted that the front camera is integrated into the panel itself. Specifically, it hides behind it, behind the AMOLED that surrounds the entire team. Xiaomi also wanted to highlight during the presentation the presence of a haptic engine so that the mobile vibrates when touching the screen. In this way, we can emulate the presence of a physical keyboard when writing.
Regarding the rest of the features, we cannot forget to mention 5G connectivity or a 4,050 mAh battery with 40W fast charge. In fact, a 45W charger is included in the box. There is no lack of 30W wireless charging either.
Price and availability
For now, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha will only be marketed in China, his native country, at a price of 2,560 euros. We do not know if it will land in more markets, including ours. We will be very vigilant in case it happens to give you all the information on time.
