Apparently, one of the most important factors to take into account in all this mobile phone addiction is the color of the screen. Some engineers and developers, with this problem in mind, have set to work to build a tool that, above all, is practical, provides the user with what it promises, in a simple and succinct way, without superfluous entertainment. All this, we repeat, to avoid the excessive consumption of our phones, which can even influence the position we adopt and which is bringing to light new ailments that, over time, can become chronic.
A minimalist phone to avoid addiction, this is the new Blloc Zero 18
Proof of this is, for example, the Light Phone 2, a minimalist phone without an Internet connection, not even text messages, only the ability to call and store nine phone numbers. Outside of applications, complex games, colors and Full HD screens; or like the Palm phone that, as its name suggests, fits in the palm of the hand, weighs only 62 grams, its screen is 3.3 inches and, although it does have Internet and even a Snapdragon 435 processor, it invites to be used considerably less than the usual 6-inch terminals.
These two are now joined by another alternative to smartphones and dazzling screens, the Blloc Zero 18. And although it has the size of the phones that are currently sold the most, it has the peculiarity of not showing colors on the screen. Here we tell you more in depth what the Blloc Zero 18 consists of.
How do you use the Blloc Zero 18?
There are two ways to use the phone, which of course has Android installed but with its own customization layer, Blloc Mnml). The first is called Minimal Mode and it is quite similar to traditional Android, we have five icons at the base of the screen, a home screen and an application drawer. Everything, by the way, is in black and white, icons and screen, with clear lines that are not distracting.
The second mode changes quite a bit. Its name is Blloc Mode and in it the main screen will be filled, in mosaic, with the applications we use the most. But with a basic difference, and that is that if you press the applications they will not open, but they will show you the applications. You must press once more to enter them, thus avoiding wasting time on tools that were not necessary for you at the time. In fact, if you slide the screen to the left you can see the applications without having to enter them. You can see the weather, read the news, set alarms. And if you slide the screen to the right, you will have all the messages from the apps gathered in a single image. You can reply to all messages from the same screen and without having to open the applications.
And now comes the best, and, at the same time, the worst of Blloc. His idea is to offer a monochrome tone to avoid addictions to the phone… but, knowing that its market could be quite limited, we can reverse this mode and have a normal color phone, just by running your finger over the rear sensor of footprints. As for its specifications, we have a Mediatek Helio P23 processor accompanied by 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and 3,000 mAh of battery.
The Blloc Zer0 18 is expected to go on sale at a price of 360 euros in certain European countries, including Spain. You have the complete list of countries on their official website.
