EMUI 10 is already present in most Huawei terminals. This version arrived a few months ago under Android 10, and included very interesting news. Among them, a dark mode, a new interface redesign, smoother animations and options for better battery and location management. While it is true that there are still terminals that have not updated to this version, EMUI 11 is just around the corner due to the arrival of Android 11. This is all we know about the next Huawei update.
EMUI 11 will come to a large list of Huawei and Honor terminals, as expected. The news is still somewhat confusing. Android will release the next version of its operating system, Android 11, in early spring. However, Huawei usually takes a few more months to announce EMUI 11. What we do know is that it will have a new catalog of its own applications and services. This is in part due to the ban imposed by the United States Government, which requires cutting off commercial relations between Huawei and American companies. In addition, taking into account that future Huawei terminals cannot count on Google apps and services, this rumor makes much more sense. The company has already shown different applications, such as a map app that will work under TomTom technology.
In addition, EMUI 11 could also focus on the redesign of its own applications, with a more minimalist touch and a synchronization between them to create a much more intuitive ecosystem. We could also see news that is included in Android 11, of which we still do not know details. Although Huawei cannot use Google, it can use Android in its 'Open Source' version. Also, the ban does not affect devices that were previously sold. Therefore, terminals such as the Huawei P30 Pro, or P30 Lite, will be able to receive Android 11 and all the news and applications from Google.
