Samsung has already stopped updating to Android 4.3 (KitKat) for the Samsung Galaxy S3 on several occasions. So many that we have already lost count of the number of times in which this data packet has seen its journey restarted. The fact is that in the last hours, the Korean firm has undertaken for the umpteenth time sending the data package that will allow users of this device to enjoy this new edition of the platform. The update began just a few weeks ago for the Samsung Galaxy S3 that were located in different parts of the world, but due to some technical problems, the update was stopped and instead of being able to enjoy Android 4.3, they began to receive the update to Android 4.1.2. The reasons were clear. Those who had the opportunity to install it on their computers suffered from all kinds of inconveniences: excessive battery drain, blocking of some functions and repeated reboots, for no apparent reason.
But how do we know that the update to Android 4.3 is ready to be downloaded? Well, because in the last few hours there have been many users who have raised their hands to announce that the data package was definitely ready for them. The first to receive it have been users who reside in the United States and who have their Samsung Galaxy S3 linked to operators such as Verizon and Cricket. On the other hand, the international version of this device (the one that European users have in their possession, and therefore, Spanish users) would also be receiving its corresponding portion of Android, although at this time it is still not clear which countries or markets would be the lucky ones.
The update to Android 4.3 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 brings with it many improvements related to performance and security. To these characteristics, fundamental in any data package, we have to add support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear, which will allow users to use the recently introduced Samsung smartwatch without problems. And here the thing does not end. Users who upgrade will also be able to enjoy some changes to the interface, from now on much more customizable. A new, more visual organization model has been introduced for the Settings section and different extra functions such as Drive Mode, a feature that helps us drive and use GPS services in a safer way; the optimization of the assistant S Voice; the adjustment system for the Adapt Display screen; the new Sound & Shot function for the camera and the ability to move to the SD card.
If you are also pending the update to Android 4.3 for your Samsung Galaxy S3, we recommend the following:
1) Wait carefully for the notification that should reach the terminal and that will notify you about its availability. If you do not receive it, go to the Settings> Settings section and check which version you have installed. By clicking on this space you should be able to check if a new update is ready in the chamber.
2) Before carrying out the update (probably via OTA), make sure that the battery of the equipment is fully charged, at least 80%.
3) Connect to a secure WiFi network to download. As they are more or less heavy data packets, it would be interesting if you have a secure connection. Any interruption in the download or installation process could be fatal to the device.
