The ZTE Grand S II is a smartphone from the Chinese firm ZTE that was presented at the beginning of this year as a high-end terminal with specifications that live up to this name. At the time we were told that we were dealing with a mobile that incorporated a quad- core processor running at 2.3 GHz along with a RAM memory with 2 GigaBytes of capacity. But it seems that the capacity of the RAM memory will finally be different, and if the rumors are correct, the ZTE Grand S II will become the first smartphone to incorporate a RAM memory .with no less than 4 GigaBytes of capacity.
In the modern mobile market, 4 GigaBytes of RAM is equivalent to a spectacular figure. There is only one smartphone produced by a large manufacturer that comes close to this figure, and it is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which incorporates a RAM memory with 3 GigaBytes of capacity.
Now, the great question that this news generates is the following: is it really useful to have so much capacity in RAM ? As in any other field of technology, the sole objective of all major manufacturers is to outdo themselves when it comes to producing their devices. While it is true that at the moment there is no real demand for this type of mobile as complete, as soon as they go on the market we will begin to see applications that until now cannot be brought to reality due to the limitations of current smartphones.
Leaving this debate aside, what does seem to be confirmed is that the rest of the technical specifications of the ZTE Grand S II will continue to remain the same. To begin, this terminal incorporate a screen 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Among its internal components have a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores running at a clock speed of 2.3 GHz, a memory RAM of -supposedly- 4 gigabytes and internal storage of 16 gigabytes expandable via card microSD up32 GigaBytes. The operating system, as it could not be otherwise, will be Android in its version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (although there is also the possibility that we will finally find the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat).
All these specifications will be possible thanks to a 3,000 milliamp battery. And let us not forget the multimedia aspect, which provides a main camera of 13 megapixel camera capable of recording videos in high resolution and a front camera of two megapixels mainly oriented towards video calls.
We do not know the exact date expected for the launch of the ZTE Grand S II, although it is to be assumed that this leak is a preview that the terminal is very close to seeing the light officially and definitively.
