Although there has been no official announcement from Xiaomi yet, it seems that the launch of the new Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Redmi Note 8 is just around the corner. Just a few minutes ago the CEO of Redmi himself has confirmed a possible presentation date for the Note 8, which would take place at the end of this month. A new leak reveals the Xiaomi Redmi 8A on this occasion in great detail, confirming not only its design, but also part of its technical characteristics.
Xiaomi Redmi 8A: design, features and specifications
Just a few weeks before the possible presentation of the new Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Redmi Note 8, we already know part of the characteristics of the three mid-range and lower-middle range phones. The latest leak that comes to us lets us see the Redmi 8A, the cheapest model in the Redmi series, in great detail.
If we stick to the leaked images, the terminal would have a design very similar to that of the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7: notch in the shape of a drop of water and a body made entirely of polycarbonate. In the absence of knowing the size of the device, it could exceed the 6-inch barrier, like the rest of the components of the Redmi series.
As for the characteristics of the Xiaomi Redmi 8A, the terminal does not differ much from the Redmi 7A. As we can see in the leaked images, the terminal would use the same Snapdragon 439 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Beyond its specifications, the main novelty of the Redmi 8A with respect to the Redmi 7A would come with the battery, a battery made up of a module of no less than 5,000 mAh, the largest seen to date in a Xiaomi mobile.
Another novelty of the terminal compared to its predecessors is the double camera integrated in the back. Although its specifications have not yet been made public, everything indicates that we would find two modules very similar to those of the Redmi 7: two sensors of 12 and 2 megapixels and focal aperture f / 2.0. Regarding the marketing of the device, there is still no data about Xiaomi's plans. What is certain is that it will end up arriving in Spain sooner rather than later, at least that is how we can see it in the screenshots of the terminal with a Spanish language.
