No, we have not made a mistake in the headline. We know that the Xiaomi Mi 9 already exists, it is one of the current flagship of the Chinese brand together with the Mi Mix 3 and can already be found in some stores for about 375 euros. This time we refer to the 5G model that will soon be released from this Xiaomi Mi 9. Thanks to the 5G connection we can connect to the Internet, from the mobile, up to 100 times faster than with 4G in addition to enjoying a minimum latency of 1ms so the online game would be facilitated.
According to the TENAA list, we can already see, more closely, the new Xiaomi Mi 5G model to which we refer. And we can know that, at least, there will be a variant with no less than 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It is not surprising that there is going to be a variant with so much storage space, considering the high speed at which 5G connectivity downloads data.
There is still no consensus about what name this new variant of the Xiaomi Mi 9 could receive. Some bet that it will be called Xiaomi Mi 9 5G, others however advocate the Xiaomi Mi 9S. That the user does not expect great innovations in the field of design because it will be exactly the same terminal: a 6.39-inch drop-shaped notch screen and triple-configuration rear camera. However, the processor will change. We will have in this new Xiaomi Mi 9 5G with the new Snapdragon 855+ and an SDX50M baseband chip compatible with 5G and 4G bands.
As for the battery we would reach 4,000 mAh with fast charging of up to 45 W. The screen will go up to 2K resolution and the rear camera incorporates optical image stabilization.
The dimensions of this new mobile seem to be 157.21 × 74.64 × 8.95 millimeters. Apparently, Xiaomi would again sign up a bit in terms of market prices, by launching what would be the cheapest 5G mobile of the moment, with a price of about 485 euros at the change. It is expected to be presented next Monday, September 9.
