The Xiaomi Mi 8 continues to receive functions through updates to its firmware. It recently included the new "Night Mode", present in the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. It also received the possibility of taking slow cameras at a speed of 960 frames per second. Soon the Xiaomi Mi 8 will be able to record video with 4K resolution at 60fps. Great news for owners of the Xiaomi terminal, who see how the manufacturer continues to take care of one of its 2018 flagships.
We already know that Xiaomi has some of the best value for money phones on the market. One of the most powerful is the Xiaomi Mi 8, a mobile with a 6.21-inch AMOLED panel, a Snapdragon 845 processor and a 3,400-milliamp battery. But a terminal located in the high-end requires a good photographic set, both at the hardware and software level.
The rear camera of the Xiaomi Mi 8 is equipped with a double sensor. The main one has a resolution of 12 megapixels, aperture f / 1.8 and four-axis optical stabilization. On the other hand we have a telephoto sensor with 12 megapixels of resolution and aperture f / 2.4. There is no lack of the AI system with scene detection, so common today.
Night mode, 960 fps and now 4K 60fps
Xiaomi is taking maximum care of the Xiaomi Mi 8 camera software. A few weeks ago the owners of the Xiaomi terminal received an OTA update that included the night scene mode in the device.
Previously, the terminal had already received an update that included the possibility of recording in super slow motion (960 fps).
Now the president of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, has revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 8 will receive an update with which it can record video with 4K resolution at 60 fps. Until now the maximum resolution available to record video was 4K at 30fps. However, for now we will have to wait to receive the update, since the president himself has confirmed that it will take about two months.
