POCO just made it official at a presentation event. The natural successor to the Pocophone F1 has just been launched by the Xiaomi subsidiary. We refer to the Pocophone F2 Pro. The terminal in question is a globalized version of the Redmi K30 Pro launched by Xiaomi a few weeks ago. In fact, the phone has the same characteristics as its counterpart, some characteristics that we will see below. Beyond this detail, the truth is that the focus of attention of the phone is the price. Will POCO be able to replicate the success it had with F1? We see it below.

Pop-up and front camera without on-screen notches
So is. Like the Redmi K30 Pro, the Pocophone F2 Pro uses an all-screen design and a motorized camera system that operates the phone's front camera. It has 6.67 inches and an AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution. Two great novelties with respect to the Pocophone F1: the screen reaches up to 1,200 nits of brightness and the panel has a 5,000,000: 1 contrast. In theory, it matches the rest of the high-end panels.
Hardware: the latest of the latest and a little bit more
As expected, the Pocophone F2 Pro arrives with the latest hardware on the market. Snapdragon 865 processor, 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 128 and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage. As if this were not enough, it has expansion through micro SD cards, NFC for mobile payments (finally) and a 3.5 mm port for headphones.
All this is supported by a 4,700 mAh capacity battery and a 30 W fast charge capable of fully charging the device in just 63 minutes. The connectivity section is made up of Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 6 and even FM radio connections. In theory, the mobile is compatible with 5G, although the company has not placed much emphasis on it.
The latest Sony sensor and a mixed lens sensor
LITTLE has bet everything in the photographic section of the F2 Pro for two reasons. The first has to do with the main sensor, the Sony IMX 686. It is currently the most advanced sensor on the market and has 64 megapixels and 8K recording capacity. The second reason is found in its mixed sensor. POCO has called it "telemacro", that is, a mix between a telephoto lens and a macro. Unfortunately, the company has not disclosed the zoom level of this sensor.
The rest of the cameras use two 13 and 2 megapixel sensors. The former features a 123-degree wide-angle wide-angle lens, while the latter is designed to enhance Portrait mode bokeh. The front camera, by the way, has a single 20-megapixel sensor with the ability to record selfies in slow motion at 120 FPS.
Price and availability of the Pocophone F2 Pro in Spain
We reach the critical point of this smartphone, the price. In Spain it will go on sale soon at a price of 550 and 600 euros in its two versions of 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 128 and 256 GB of storage. The price, as we have just seen, is far from the 300 euros of the Pocophone F1.
