A new week begins and with it the rumors related to the new flagships of the big manufacturers start. The protagonist this time is the Sony Xperia Z4, the new smartphone from the Japanese company Sony that will hit the market to succeed the previous Sony Xperia Z3. Although there have already been leaks of technical specifications and even leaks of images of this mobile, the rumors that we have known during this day significantly modify the information about the Sony Xperia Z4 that had appeared on the network up to this moment.
The first thing we have known is the possible presentation date of the new Sony Xperia Z4. The Sony Xperia Z4 could be presented along with the new Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra on January 5, 2015, coinciding with the CES 2015 technology event that will take place in Las Vegas (United States). That is the information they handle at the moment from the US website PhoneArena , where they claim to have received an anonymous leak confirming this filing date.
Regarding the technical specifications of the Sony Xperia Z4, apparently the leak reveals some differences with respect to the characteristics that were known until today. In the opinion, the Sony Xperia Z4 will feature a display of 5.4 inches (until now it was thought that the screen would be 5.5 inches) to reach a resolution of type Quad HD (ie, a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels). This novelty in resolution would also be accompanied by a small modification in the design of the front panel of the Xperia Z4, since the speakers could become "hidden" both at the top and at the bottom of the screen (a design very similar to the Sony Xperia Z2, in short).
The rest of the Sony Xperia Z4 features would be complemented by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 4 GigaBytes of RAM, Android operating system in its latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop and a battery with 3,420 mAh capacity. The main camera, as in the Sony Xperia Z3, would continue to incorporate a 20.7 megapixel sensorwith the difference that the sensor would incorporate some new type of technology -apparently aimed at improving lighting in photographs-. In fact, the front camera sensor could perfectly correspond to the new IMX230 sensor that Sony introduced a few days ago. The front camera, meanwhile, come with a sensor of 4.8 megapixels.
The rest of the design of the Sony Xperia Z4, beyond the modifications in the position of the front speakers, would maintain an appearance similar to that of the Sony Xperia Z3. Part of this new design can be seen in the extra-official photographs that accompany this information, which show a terminal with apparently more rounded edges.
But the information does not end there. This leak also mentions the Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra, which will become the successor to the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Unlike the information that was handled until a few days ago, the Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra seems to incorporate a 5.9-inch screen (and not 6.4 inches, as previously thought) that will be accompanied by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 4 GigaBytes memory RAM, a main chamber 16 megapixels and the apparently only a thickness of 5.70 mm.
We will have to wait until next January 5, 2015 to confirm the veracity of these data.
