A new official certification we just revealed that both the Sony Xperia Z3 (Model D6653) as the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (Model D5833) have gone through the relevant authorization to forward us that both phones will receive in the coming days one new system update operational. The Xperia Z3 update and the Xperia Z3 Compact update will respond to the same denomination of 23.0.1.A.1.43. At the moment the exact changes that both updates will bring with them are unknown, although everything seems to point tosmall patches intended to correct errors detected by users.
Although at the moment there is no official list with the changes that this update of the Japanese company Sony will bring, if we take a look at the network we will see that in recent weeks some problems have begun to be reported that seem to affect certain users of the Sony Xperia Z3. This problem appears to reside in the main camera's programming, as some users have reported that photos taken in low-light scenes appear to have small pink dots on the images.
On the other hand, another group of users have also reported a problem on the screen that causes the image to freeze for a few seconds, especially when using the Camera application and when viewing videos. These issues only affect a very limited group of users, so we don't know if this is why Sony has been working on a new operating system update.
Leaving aside the small operating system updates, owners of a Sony Xperia Z3 or a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact should also know that this week Sony has enabled the compatibility of these two phones with the PlayStation 4 console. This compatibility allows the PlayStation 4 to be played using the Sony Xperia as if it were the television, so that the player views the content of the game on the screen of their smartphone. To use this option you only need an Xperia Z3, an Xperia Z3 Compact or a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compactand, in addition, you have to download and install the PS4 Remote Controller application (available for free in the Google Play store) on the terminal.
But in addition to the new terminals in the Xperia range, the PS4 Remote Controller application will also be compatible with the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet. For this compatibility to become a reality, users of either of these two devices must wait for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update, which should begin shipping worldwide in a matter of weeks.
