Just a few days ago some press images of the Sony Xperia XA3 were leaked. In them we could see the design of the new Sony mid-range, with a curious very elongated screen. We could also appreciate the double rear camera, a nice design with a single frame on the top and a fingerprint reader on the side of the terminal. Today all these data seem to be confirmed with a video that has appeared on the network. In it you see a boy showing the camera what appears to be the new Sony Xperia XA3.
We must recognize that the video is something strange. In it you see a young boy accompanied by a girl with a baby. The boy speaks Chinese, so we don't know what he's saying. But what interests us is that the video shows what is probably the Sony Xperia XA3. It is recognized by the curious screen that, according to all the rumors, this terminal will include. Apparently it will have a 5.9-inch screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,560 pixels and a 21: 9 aspect ratio. The latter will make the mobile longer than normal.
Will the apps look good?
A change of format usually brings with it a problem when executing some applications. Developers have to adapt their application to the screen format, which can lead to black bands. We already see it today in many apps, which shows a small black stripe at the bottom.
It is precisely what we see in the video that happens with the screen in 21: 9 format of the Sony Xperia XA3. The boy shows the camera how an application plays on this screen. What we see is a large black stripe at the bottom. That is, we are left with much less useful screen than the device has.
Generally, what manufacturers do is offer the possibility of "stretching" the image and adapting it to the screen of the device. But of course, on such a long screen it is very likely that this "false" adaptation will completely deform the graphics and the application interface.
However, these are only assumptions based on what we have seen in the video. We will have to wait to see how the terminal works in real life. A terminal that, in addition to having an ultra-wide screen, is said to equip a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of ROM and a 3500 mAh battery.
On the other hand, it will have a double rear camera with, according to rumors, 23 MP + 8 MP. All this information is sure to be confirmed soon, as the Sony Xperia XA3 is expected to see the light of day at the MWC in Barcelona.
