The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra smartphone from the Japanese company Sony will receive an update in the coming weeks that will allow owners of a PlayStation 4 console to use the DualShock 4 controller to play mobile games. With this novelty, the experience of mobile games will be much more entertaining as you can take advantage of the entire screen to show the content of the game without the user covering certain parts with their hands.
The news came in the form of a tweet from one of Sony's official Twitter accounts. In this message there was both a photograph showing the DualShock 4 remote control next to the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and a message confirming this new compatibility between the remote and the mobile. Of course, at the moment we do not have exact information regarding the date on which the update that contains this novelty will arrive, and in fact it is not yet completely confirmed whether this update will also reach other terminals in the Xperia range, including both mobile phones. high-end like mid-range mobiles.
The idea of allowing smartphones to be compatible with the controllers of the console is interesting considering the increasing quality - both graphics and playability - of the games that reach mobile phones. A good example of this is the game Real Racing 3 (which had its origin with the first Real Racing released back in 2010), a driving game that achieves a more than acceptable graphic quality considering that we are talking about a title designed for mobiles. If we add to this a control designed precisely for video games, the result is a few hours of entertainment in a much more comfortable way compared to using the virtual buttons on the screen.
It is also important that we know that other terminals in the Xperia range such as the Sony Xperia Z1 can be connected to the PlayStation 4 controller in certain games. For example, in the case of the San Andreas game, all we have to do is turn on the Bluetooth on the mobile and press the share button and the Start button on our controller almost at the same time. In principle, this method is valid for several terminals in this range of mobiles, so it is advisable to test it to see if we can already enjoy the command directly on the mobile.
We will be attentive to the arrival of the update that will bring full compatibility with the PlayStation 4 controller. Remember that to download an update on our Sony Xperia mobile we must go to the Settings application and click on the " About device " option. In this section we will see an option called " Operating system update ", and it is that same option that allows us to download and install all the updates that are officially published on our terminal.
