The Japanese company Sony has appeared in a certification in which it is confirmed that the Sony Xperia M will soon receive a new update that will respond to the name of 15.4.A.1.10. This update will not bring with it any new version of the Android operating system, mainly because a few days ago Sony confirmed that the Sony Xperia M will not receive any new Android update. So everything indicates that the new update of the Sony Xperia M will only incorporate small corrections of errors that, on the other hand, will also reach the Dual versionof this smartphone (in that case they will do so under the name of 15.5.A.1.6).
Taking into account that today the Sony Xperia M works under the version of 15.5.A.1.9 (certified at the end of May), this new file corresponding to the version of 15.4.A.1.10 will not bring any notable changes beyond some small correction of a bug detected by users in recent months. Therefore, we can confirm again with almost complete safety that the Sony Xperia M will continue to operate under Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the rest of its useful life.
On the other hand, this week seems to be the week of Sony's operating system update renewals. During yesterday, the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update began to be distributed for the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra (although, firstly, Sony claimed that it was blocking the Android 4.4.4 update and then rectifying its error). Practically at the same time it was also announced that the Sony Xperia C will not receive any new Android update, which means that its owners will have to settle for the version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean under which this smartphone works today.
Although the really remarkable novelty in terms of Sony updates has a lot to do with the Sony Xperia SP. It turns out that this mobile was an indisputable candidate to receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, and in fact each new update it received was one more clue of how immediate the arrival of the most recent version of the Android operating system was. But finally, in the form of a jug of cold water, Sony confirmed this week that the Sony Xperia SP will not be updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat and will remain running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version for the rest of its useful life.
As for the Sony Xperia M, we are talking about a mobile that was officially presented during the month of June of last year 2013. It is a terminal that incorporates a screen of four inches with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, while hidden inside features such as a processor dual core running at 1 GHz clock speed or memory RAM with 1 gigabyte capacity.
