The Japanese company Sony has been caught testing a new update for the Sony Xperia E1 and for its respective variant with dual- SIM card slot, the Sony Xperia E1 Dual. Unfortunately for the owners of this terminal, there is no evidence that could make us think that we are facing the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. It seems that it is simply a small update aimed at improving some aspects of the current version of the operating system of this terminal, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The little information that is known about this new update refers to the fact that the Sony Xperia E1 will receive a new file with the name 20.0.A.1.21, while the Sony Xperia E1 Dual will receive a new file with the name 20.0.B.0.83. These names correspond to the phone version, and it is a piece of information that we can check in a matter of seconds from the Settings application by entering the " Software update " option. If we have a different version than the one we mentioned in this news, it means that we have to wait patiently until Sonydecide to officially release the update. If the rumors are correct, the update should not take more than a few days to reach all the Sony Xperia E1 and Sony Xperia E1 Dual that are scattered around the world.
Regarding the news that the update will bring, it is most likely that it is a small patch aimed at solving the errors that users have detected since the launch of this terminal, which reached stores at the beginning of this year. These errors are generally related to small fluency problems and, in some cases, poor autonomy. Hopefully both these and all other bugs detected in the Sony Xperia E1 are completely solved with this new patch.
Also remember that the Sony Xperia E1 is a smart phone that incorporates a screen of four inches with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Inside we have a processor Qualcomm of dual core operating at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz with a memory RAM with a capacity of 512 megabytes. The internal storage capacity is located at 4 GigaBytes, but we can incorporate an external microSD memory card of up to 32 GigaBytescapacity. As we have already mentioned, the operating system installed as standard is Android in its version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and we do not know if Sony has among its plans the possibility of updating this terminal to the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. And let 's not forget the multimedia aspect, since this terminal has a main chamber three - megapixel and unfortunately for regulars video calls, there is no front camera. These specifications are more than reasonable considering that the starting price of this smartphone was 175 euros.
