The truce that the US government has granted to Huawei will end on August 19. Therefore, the company has no choice but to work hard on new strategies to continue within the telephony sector. One of the main problems is that some companies, including Google, have joined this blockade. In fact, the latter will prevent the Asian from installing Android on her devices, which has turned out to be a very complicated matter for Huawei. In any case, the manufacturer's response has been direct: create your own mobile operating system, which they say will be faster and more secure than Android.
In the last hours, new captures of this platform have been leaked, which could land under the name Ark OS. As you can see from the photos we show in the gallery below, Ark OS looks a lot like Android. This is because Huawei probably wants to offer a high level of consistency when transitioning from the original version of Android to its new operating system. In this way, users would feel more familiar and are less likely to get used to the new platform more quickly.
From the looks of it, Android apps will also be able to run on Ark OS, although they will be offered through the company's own app store. Huawei will no longer be able to continue using Google Apps or the Google Play Store on its new smartphones. In addition, users will be able to install APK files on devices with Ark OS, so even if Google services were blocked, there could be a way to deploy them on Huawei smartphones.
It would not take us too long to know officially what this new system looks like. A company executive recently announced that Ark OS could arrive this June. It is something normal, especially considering that the blockade starts on August 19, and that by that date Huawei would have to have everything well tied. In any case, we will be very aware of new information to update it promptly.
