Table of contents:
Huawei is launching a major update to its EMUI customization layer for its Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro terminals that will increase the effectiveness of its fingerprint sensor, which is housed under the screen in both terminals. If you have either of these two phones and, during their use, you have noticed that the fingerprint unlocking was not as fine as it should in this update, you will have the solution to the problem.
New EMUI update for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro
This is the EMUI version 9.1.0.186 that, among its most important contributions, we find an optimization of the performance of the fingerprint sensor as well as a general improvement of the fingerprint unlocking experience. In addition, this new version of EMUI specific to the two new flagship of the Chinese brand improves the audio in the scenes of some video games. And the Android security patch for the month of July could not be missing in the changelog for this new update. In the first place, the update has been launched in China and then roll out in the rest of the countries where these devices are for sale.
The versions and sizes of these updates may vary depending on the country in which we are located. If we want to manually see if we already have the new version of EMUI available we can do the following.
We go to phone settings, then 'System', then 'Software update' and finally ' Check for updates '. In the event that there is an update available, the system will ask you if you want to install it. If so, make sure you have several things in mind:
- Enough battery so that the update process does not fail without being completed successfully. This can be a serious problem and leave your mobile unusable.
- Sufficient storage capacity to accommodate the update. Some can be really heavy, exceeding the GB of weight.
- Make a copy of the content on your phone and upload it to a content manager in the cloud like Google Drive or Dropbox. Updates shouldn't erase the contents of your phone but all precautions are little.
