A few hours ago it was the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that was updated and now it is the Samsung Galaxy S9 that receives the new update with the April security patch published by Google at the beginning of the month. At the moment it is only available in Germany, but it is expected that it will reach the rest of the countries in the next few days, as is usual in the South Korean company. Regarding the content of the update, the company corrects more than thirty security errors found in previous software versions.

The security update released today by Samsung is one of the most important in recent months, correcting around 20 security flaws found in previous versions.
As detailed by Samsung in the G965FXXS3CSD1 package of the Galaxy S9 update, the new patch included fixes five critical bugs and up to twelve high-risk bugs related to the Android system. The package in question also fixes 15 security holes related to Samsung's customization layer, although the company has not specified which ones.
Otherwise, we did not find any notable improvements affecting system performance or functions beyond the security patch update from March to April.
How to update the Samsung Galaxy S9 to the April security patch
Although at the moment the update is not available in Spain, everything indicates that it will be from next week when it begins to be distributed throughout the globe.
To update the Galaxy S9 we will only have to go to the Settings application, specifically to the Software Updates section. Once inside, we will click on Check for updates until the system finds the new package, about 110.14 MB in total weight.
We will only have to click on Download and Install to download the update in question, but not before making sure that we are connected to a WiFi network and the phone has enough battery.
