The Samsung Galaxy S9 has not yet landed on the market and the awards are already arriving. The company has announced that the terminal has received the award for the best new connected device at the Mobile World Congress at the annual Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO Awards). Samsung has commented that it has achieved this award due to its improved design, camera and performance. The company received more than 30 awards for various products and services at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
One of the most awarded mobiles
In addition to this latest award, several of Samsung's devices and technologies were also recognized at the Global Mobile Awards 2018. Among them, we can highlight its mobile payment service Samsung Pay or the company's Gear VR with control, which allows you to control shares with our hand while we are looking away. Samsung's own chief marketing officer and head of global marketing for Samsung's mobile business, Younghee Lee, has recognized how proud they are to be recognized by the GSMA and other organizations for their mobile technologies.
As we say, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are currently in the spotlight for their features and performance. Both have a 12-megapixel main camera with dual aperture and autofocus. It also comes with interesting functions, such as super slow motion or AR Emojis. Thanks to the latter we can create emojis of our image and then send it as a GIF through social networks.
Inside the devices there is room for the new Exynos 9810 processor, with eight process cores manufactured in 10 nanometers. This SoC is accompanied by a 4 or 6 GB RAM memory. Therefore, we are talking about a very interesting power to play applications or work with several processes simultaneously. The new Galaxy S9 and S9 + also feature a glass and metal design with an infinite screen (5.8 and 6.2 inches respectively). There is no lack of fingerprint reader or protection against water and dust. They will be available on March 16, although reservations will begin on March 8.
