The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + will be available soon in two new colors. This has been announced by the Asian firm, although for now they will be relegated to their native South Korea. In this way, the current black, blue and purple will be joined by a Sunrise Gold (gold) model and another baptized as Burgundy Red, which is a very elegant kind of burgundy.
Samsung has ensured that the burgundy red edition will go on sale on May 25. For its part, the gold version will be launched in early June. Also, both devices will land with a storage capacity of 64 GB. That is, they will not be available with 128 or 256 GB like the rest of the colors. Regarding prices, these new versions will cost the same as the others, 850 and 950 euros, respectively.
It is not surprising that Samsung surprises with new colors after the launch of its flagships. Last year, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also dressed in burgundy red, a color that has wanted to repeat in this new generation. The color is the only thing that will differentiate them, since otherwise the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + in black, blue, purple or gold and red will be exactly the same internally. With the exception, yes, of the storage capacity, as we indicated before.
This year, the South Korean firm has followed a continuous line in design with respect to that of its predecessor. However, a more pronounced infinity screen is appreciated, with even smaller frames. The S9 has a 5.8-inch size, while the S9 + mounts a 6.2-inch panel. Both are powered by a 10nm Exynos 9810 processor and 6GB of RAM. On the other hand, they also equip a 12 megapixel main camera with autofocus and dual aperture. They have an Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and 3,000 and 3,500 mAh batteries with fast and wireless charging.
The gold and burgundy red editions may eventually arrive in Europe. For now, Samsung has not commented on the matter, but we will give you new details as soon as we have them.
